Get to Know Our Story & the Founder
Urban Nest Solutions was founded by Courtney Blair Hinton. As a child, she enjoyed re-decorating her room with each season, binge-watching HGTV shows, and cherished the times spent creating t-shirts and personalized stationery with her grandmother and Aunt Rose. In high school, she was her friends’ go to guide for fashion, make-up, and capturing the best angle for a “selfie” before that was a trend.
Born and raised in Berkeley and Alameda, Courtney Blair Hinton moved to New Hampshire to earn her undergraduate degree in Sociology with a minor in Japanese from Dartmouth College. Prior to starting Urban Nest Solutions, Courtney worked for various leading fashion and home furnishings companies such as Pottery Barn, Gucci, and Z Gallerie, in sales, design and merchandising. Her experience as a Property Manager, arms her with a unique, holistic approach to the home staging and selling process with consideration for homeowners, real estate agents, and potential buyers. Curators of solutions must be able to wear different hats according to the founder. Urban Nest Solutions was born out of Courtney’s love of interior design and art, and passion for creating inviting spaces - at home, an event or even a trip to Jamaica.
